Deadline to get the following information to me is March 14, 2018 (Charlie Romano, 1508 Monarch Dr., Marietta Ga. 30062).
Each winning contestant’s form must be accompanied by an entry fee check in the amount of Thirty-five dollars ($35), made payable to Gateway District, Optimist International. This fee applies to ALL winning entries advancing to another level of competition. These fees are normally paid by the sponsoring club.
You need to send the following information:
1)Optimist International Oratorical Contest Application for 2017-2018 – Must be signed by contestant and parent or guardian
2)District Oratorical Contest Entry Form – Must be signed by contestant, Club Oratorical Chair and Club President.
3)Legible Copy of Birth Certificate or Passport
4)Typed Copy of Oratorical presentation
5)A Check for $35 Made Payable to Gateway District Optimist International

The GATEway JOI Board invites all JOI Club members age 14 and older to attend the Annual JOI Leadership Conference at the Berry College Campus in Rome, Georgia. The Leadership Conference is hosted at the WinShape Center, Truett Cathy’s WinShape Foundation. WinShape is recognized as an expert in their Leadership Development programs. The location is a safe and beautiful location for the JOI Leadership Conference. We had a very successful conference last year. This is an ideal conference for students to develop leadership skills and for personal growth. For additional information review this site: www.winshape.org. The JOI State Board has prepared an exciting agenda that is attached for review. Additional information is also included as suggested clothing and foot wear for assured safety and for maximum conference experience. Please note that there are additional forms and a registration link. The cost to JOI Members and Volunteers for the 2018 Leadership Conference is $170.00 per attendee.
